AYF visit to the Nicosia Archery Club
On the 9th October (Saturday), members of the "Artsakh Badanegan Miyoutyoun" spent the afternoon at the Nicosia Archery Club. Learning and practising the ancient art of archery.
The fourteen "badanis" were introduced to this noble sport which is enjoyed by hundred of thousand of sportsmen around the world.
They were lectured by the teacher about the safety rules of the sport and then they were shown how to use the arrow and the bow.
Under the supervision of the teacher, the "badanis" enjoyed their target shooting practise all afternoon.
Armed with the basic skills, they were divided into smaller groups to practise shooting from 5 metres.
The trip was a great success for everyone.
"Artsakh Badanegan Miyoutyoun" holds its weekly meetings every Saturday, from 6- 7 pm at AYMA (Nicosia). All youngsters of age 10 -15 are welcome to take part to the meetings.
